How to use WinImage

Introduction

This graphical guide will show you how to inject a file, "splash.jpg" in this example, into the resources partition from your CVS Disposable Camera. The first thing you want to do is download your P4 partition into an image file. Then, you'll want to download WinImage and install it.

Procedure

Open up winimage, and load the P4.img file you got from Ops:
Click on Image, Inject:
Select the file that you'd like to inject. In our case, it's splash.jpg:
Click Yes:
Click Yes again:
The file has now been injected:
Click File, Save As:
Give your modified image file a name, such as P4_new.img, and make sure to select "Image File (*.IMA)" in the Save As type dropdown! This is important!

Uploading your new resource file

You may now proceed with uploading your P4 partition back to the camera!
